I don’t know what happened to the initial person I spoke to, but for the past few years, this has become increasingly more of a nightmare situation where everyone I speak to has been both abrasive and unhelpful. About two years ago my insurance increased $50 more a month and when I inquired about it, some child told me it was “because of inflation” while laughing. Now it’s gone up again, I am shopping for a different insurance company because this one can’t even change my address despite me asking them five times to do so. Looking for different company immediately.

Please RUN to a different company!!!"

"After becoming completely exasperated by my higher and higher auto insurance rates I called my agent to see if there was anything they could do , or would I be better of switching to Geico , who gave me a slightly lower rate . Unfortunately, no one ever “called me after lunch” as I was promised so I called the next day to advise I needed my Safe Driver Cert # because I was going to switch . Lucky for me Jody Hampton fielded my call and spent a great deal of time on the phone with me looking at my policies and patiently explaining EVERYTHING . She was knowledgeable , cheerful, and understanding of my frustration. She advised me that sometimes other companies quotes may look attractive but the premiums may just go right back up after signing up with them. Jody took the time to go through each of my policies and see if there were any savings to be had . She did discover I was not getting a 5% alarm discount on one of my vehicles and although it wasn’t the breakthrough savings I was looking for , she made me feel like she was working with me and that my accounts were important to her. That was refreshing. Thank you Jody. I hope Cathy Nesselt is aware of what a valuable resource you are to State Farm . If not for Jody , I would be a Geico customer today. Its nice to know there are still some responsible professionals out there who take pride in their jobs and in retaining their customers . Thank you"

"If I could leave 0 stars I would. Truly terrible service and incredibly rude office staff. Premium went from about $600 for 6 months to almost $900 in two years for a new car, no tickets, and no accidents. When I called to inquire about it and see if there was anything that could be done the staff was so rude and blamed it all on new rate increases (despite my rate starting to go up considerably LONG BEFORE any increases were approved by NYSDFS). Ended up switching to another company and now have more coverage, lower deductibles and will be saving $350 every six months."

"One of my auto policies was cancelled in early August due to an error by a worker in this State Farm office. Six weeks later the policy was finally re-issued after numerous phone calls. I have made TOO MANY phonecalls to get this issue resolved. Right now I have made 4 phonecalls to the broker’s office to get an explanation for the current bill but all I get is promises to return my phone call. It’s time to find a new broker."
